Wassim Geagea is a young Lebanese filmmaker who studied cinema at the Lebanese University. He then pursued his master’s degree in cinema at the Saint Joseph University of Beirut. His first short film My Grandfather’s Photo (2011) was screened at several film festivals and won the Best Short Film Prize at the 2012 Beirut European Film Festival. He directed several documentaries and television commercials in several countries, including Lebanon, Turkey, Malaysia, Egypt, and Jordan. Omé (2019) is his second short film, and he is currently working on his first feature film, Barka.
