Domenico Modafferi was born in 1988 in Italy. He has a degree in modern literature from the University of Messina, and another in classical violin from the Conservatory of Music Alfredo Casella. He worked on several short films as a director and screenwriter, including Margie (2014), which received numerous awards, and Il Miracolo (2015), winner of the Special Mention at the 71st Corti d’Argento award ceremony. He currently works as an assistant director for cinema, television and advertising. The Nutcatcher (2019), his latest short film, had its world premiere at the I Love Gai competition, which took place during the 76th Venice Film Festival.
