About the Film

A 13-year-old boy takes a stroll down memory lane in an attempt to restore the image he has of his destructive father. He starts to pull apart the memories that led to his life’s tragedy while coming to terms with his own fears about what sort of a man he will become. In parallel, he tries to deal with a mysterious infestation that crept into both his house and garden.

Director

Charles Williams

Charles grew up in a country town in northern Victoria, far from anything connected to filmmaking, except for an obsession with movies. Though his household was largely dependent on government assistance, he found a way to make films with equipment ‘borrowed’ from the local school and, while still in his teens, won the Best Director award at Tropfest. Over the past decade his acclaimed films have screened and won awards at some of the world’s most prestigious film festivals including Clermont-Ferrand, SXSW, Telluride, Toronto, MIFF, Flickerfest and Sapporo, and in 2016 he was nominated for Best Short Fiction Film at the AACTA Awards. His latest short film ‘All These Creatures’ has been awarded the Palme D’Or at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival and he is currently developing feature projects ‘Inside’ and ‘The Buzzard’
