Berlin-based artist and filmmaker Julian Rosefeldt studied architecture before earning international acclaim for his visually opulent, meticulously choreographed moving-image artworks and complex multi-screen installations. Drawing from film, art history, and pop culture, Rosefeldt employs humour and satire to transform familiar everyday rituals into surreal, theatrical realms. A member of the Bayerische Akademie der Schönen Künste and Media Art professor at Munich’s Academy of Fine Arts, his works are held in premier collections including MoMA, Nationalgalerie Berlin, and the National Gallery of Victoria. His major film works include the award-winning Manifesto (2017) and Euphoria (2026).
