Chakib Taleb-Bendiab, Algerian director, born in 1982 lives between Algeria and Paris. He has directed several short films, including a documentary titled Ibn Rushd: A Cultural Link (2011) and the feature films Sang Froid (2013) and Black Spirit (2018), both of which have participated in numerous international film festivals, including the Special Jury Prize for Best Screenplay at the Sapporo International Film Festival. His first feature film, Algiers (2024), won the Grand Prize at the Flickers Rhode Island International Film Festival in the United States and has been officially nominated to represent Algeria in the upcoming 92ⁿᵈ Academy Awards (Oscars).
