Kiyoshi Kurosawa, born in Kobe, is a Japanese filmmaker with a diverse career spanning directing, screenwriting, film criticism, authorship, acting, and teaching at Tokyo University of the Arts. His extensive filmography includes Cure (1998), Séance (2000), Pulse (2001), Bright Future (2003), Tokyo Sonata (2008), Real (2013), Journey to the Shore (2015), Daguerrotype (2016), and To the Ends of the Earth (2019). His latest feature, Cloud (2024), continues his exploration of thought-provoking cinema.
