الشيخ طاهر شخصية معروفة لكونه إمام مسجد يحظى بالاحترام والتبجيل بين جماعته. يقوم في يوم بأداء صلاة الجنازة على سيدة مجهولة لا يعرفها، لم يكن يعلم وقتها المشاكل التي يقع فيها بسبب هذا الفعل، يستغل حامد أحد طلاب الشيخ طاهر المخلصين والطموحين هذه الفرصة لتعجيل القضاء على سطوة الشيخ طاهر.
Tunisian director Kaouther Ben Hania studied cinema in Tunisia and in Paris (Femis and la Sorbonne). She directed several shorts, including "Wooden Hand," (2013), which had a long and successful run on the international festival circuit. Her documentary film "Imams Go To School" was premiered at IDFA 2010 and selected for many prestigious festivals. "Challat of Tunis," her first feature film, was selected to open the ACID section at the Cannes Film Festival 2014. Her film "Zaineb Hates the Snow" premiered as an official selection at the Locarno Film Festival 2016, and then in Hot Docs, Toronto. Her last film, "Beauty and the Dogs," was selected for the Cannes Film Festival "Un Certain Regard" in 2017.
