في الذكرى السنوية الأولى لزواجها، تقرر مريم الشابة المحافظة والمحجبة «ترقيع» غشاء بكارتها وإعادته إلى حالته الأولى لتعود عذراء من جديد أمام زوجها صبري سائق التاكسي. «هديتها» الساذجة والبائسة بشكل متناقض ستقودها إلى إدراك معنى التحرر.
Tunisian director and producer Latifa Robbana Doghri specialized in writing and editing children’s stories before studying multimedia communications. Her first documentary Boxing With Her competed in the Official Selection at the 2011 Doha Tribeca Film Festival, and won the Golden Hawk at the 2012 Arab Film Festival of Rotterdam. Her second film Made in Gougou won the Nile Grand Award for Best Short Documentary at the 2014 Luxor African Film Festival.
