The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences today announced shortlists in nine categories for the 93^rd Oscars and 6 GFF Film Alumni made it on the list.

From GFF’s 2020 Feature Documentary Competition; Gianfranco Rosi’s Nottourno and Michael Dweck and Gregory Kershaw’s The Truffle Hunters, El Gouna Bronze Star for Best Documentary recipient, were both shortlisted for the Documentary Feature Category. 

Shortlisted for Best International Feature Film; GFF’s Golden Star for Best Film winner Quo  Vadis, Aida? by Jasmila Žbanic; Kaouther Ben Hania’s The Man Who Sold His Skin, CineGouna SpringBoard alumnus and winner of the Best Arab Film Award at the 4^th edition of GFF; Another Round by Thomas Vinterberg which was part of the Official Selection out of Competition line-up at the 4^th edition of GFF; and last but not least from GFF’s 3^rd  Feature Narrative Competition La Llorona by Jayro Bustamente.
