In an award ceremony hosted at The Malmö Central Library; Malmö Arab Film Festival (MAFF) concluded its 11th edition by announcing Kaouther Ben Hania’s The Man Who Sold His Skin as Best Feature Film and Their Algeria by Lina Soualem, as the recipient of the Jury Award. Both films were awarded El Gouna Star for Arab Feature and Arab Documentary, respectively.
It is also worth mentioning that MAFF’s Audience Award was presented to the feature film Curfew, directed by GFF’s artistic director Amir Ramses.
The 11th Malmö Arab Film Festival was held in a hybrid version with some of the activities taking place in the Swedish city and others online, due to the covid-19 pandemic.
