Ali Fazal is an accomplished actor born in India. He began his artistic career with notable roles in the successful Bollywood film 3 Idiots (2009), followed by the hit film Fukrey (2013) and its sequel, Fukrey Returns (2017). In 2009, he appeared in the IFC series Bollywood Hero (2009). Fazal made his American debut in 2015 when he appeared in Furious 7, the seventh installment of the Fast & Furious franchise. Fazal caught the attention of the global audience after starring as the titular character in Victoria & Abdul (2017), opposite Judi Dench. The film screened at the Venice International Film Festival and Toronto International Film Festival, going on to earn Golden Globe, SAG, and Academy Award nominations. Fazal received a Variety 10 Actors to Watch honor. In 2020, he starred in Death on the Nile by Kenneth Branagh, based on Agatha Christie’s famous novel. Fazal currently stars in the popular Amazon series Mirzapur, which premiered in late 2018.
