Nada goes into labor a month before expected. Her husband’s car has been out of order and a sniper is preventing the midwife, who lives on the other side of the neighborhood, from helping them. Forced to deliver his baby in the trunk of his car, the husband decides to take revenge on the sniper in an unimaginable way.

Syrian director Al Laith Hajjo grew up in an artistic environment that had a great influence on his career. He has worked alongside one of the most important Syrian directors in TV, Haitham Hakki. His documentary film Windows of the Soul, which he co-directed with Ammar Al-Ani, was an important step for his cinematic career. The Cord is his first short film.
