About the film

Emilka is young, jobless, and suffers from panic attacks when close to water reservoirs. After a family tragedy, she seems content to spend all her time with her mysterious younger sister. A job at a local archive could be her chance for a new beginning.

Director

Joanna Różniak

Joanna Różniak was born in Cracow and she worked and studied in Scotland, Chile and Hong Kong before returning to her native Poland. She studied English Literature and Spanish at the University of Edinburgh and Screenwriting at the National Film School in Łódź. In 2018 she joined the Film Directing program at the Krzysztof Kieślowski Film School in Katowice. She is the author of several short films that have been screened at many international festivals.
