 Ahmad Saleh  

Ahmad Saleh is a Palestinian/German writer and director. He has two masters degrees in Digital Media from the University of the Arts Bremen and Film from the Academy of Media Arts Cologne. His first film, House, won a second place in the German Short Film Award and his second film, Ayny, won a Student Academy Award in the foreign animation category in 2016.

The dust of war keeps the eyes sleepless. Night brings peace and sleep to all the people in the broken town. Only the eyes of the mother of the missing child stay resilient. Night has to trick her into sleeping to save her soul. The animation film had its world premiere as part of the international competition of the 2021 Locarno Film Festival.
