About the film

Inspired by a story from the book Palestine +100: Stories from a Century After the Nakba, the Israeli Beiton family lives a quiet life in their home. However, this tranquility is disrupted when young Edina begins to hear strange sounds coming from the doorknob. Soon, these unsettling noises affect the rest of Dr. Naftali's family. Will they be able to uncover the source of this mysterious sound?

Rakan Mayasi is an independent filmmaker (Director, Writer & Producer), born in Germany and based in Brussels. He studied Cinema, Theatre & Psychology in Lebanon and then received film training at the Asian Film Academy in South Korea. He has written and directed several short films. The Key (2023) had its world premiere at South by Southwest FF.
