Ali Cherri, born in Beirut, is a visual artist and filmmaker based in Paris. His work questions the construction of historical narratives. His short films The Disquiet and TheDigger were awarded at numerous festivals. The Dam, was presented at Directors’ Fortnight in Cannes – and was part of his installation presented at Venice Biennale ofArt. He is now opening the exhibition “Dreamless Night” at GAMeC (Bergamo). and isworking on his next exhibition at the Fondation Giacometti (Paris).
