Arwa Gouda is an Egyptian actress who made her film debut in the 2005 film Joys of Life, which she followed with more roles in television series and films, including On a Day Like Today, El Gezira 2, Citizen X, and Red Lines, for which she received praise from audiences and critics alike as well as awards for most of her roles throughout her career. In 2017, she had notable roles in many television series such as Hell Stone, This Evening, and Once Upon A Time, up until her Civil War in 2021. Arwa Gouda has served on multiple juries in prestigious film festivals, including Cairo International Film Festival and the International Emmy Awards. Notably, she has always been interested in environmental causes and has represented Egypt in the Miss Earth pageant, in which she was ranked fourth prior to winning the 2004-2005 Best Model of the World title in Turkey.
