Manal Issa, a French-Lebanese actress, initially pursued a degree in Industrial Engineering in Angers before a significant turn in her career. Director Danielle Arbid offered her the lead role in Parisienne (2015), a performance that earned her the Best Actress award at the Festival des Arcs. She continued to dazzle on screen, starring in Bertrand Bonello's Nocturama (2016) and featuring in five films in 2017, including My Favorite Fabric, showcased at Cannes 2018.

In 2020, her talent shone in The Sea Ahead  that premiered  at Cannes Directors’ Fortnight. Her remarkable journey took an exciting turn when she co-starred with her sister in The Swimmers that premiered at the 2022 Toronto International Film Festival.

Currently residing in Beirut, Manal Issa is also a promising screenwriter, embarking on her own screenplay project. Her multifaceted talents continue to solidify her status as a rising star in the world of cinema.
