Ibrahim Shaddad is a Sudanese filmmaker and writer and Theatrical director. He studied Theater, CinemaIbrahim Shaddad, born in Halfa, Sudan in 1945, is a distinguished filmmaker who studied film direction at the Filmuniversität Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF, graduating in 1964. A pivotal figure in Sudanese cinema during the 1960s-1980s, Shaddad faced challenges from governments, leading to the discontinuation or banning of most Sudanese films and plays. He co-founded the Sudanese Film Group in 1988, contributing to over 40 films with a commitment to independent filmmaking. Despite setbacks from the 1989 military coup and the subsequent government, Shaddad persisted in his cinematic endeavors.

His notable films include the impactful Hunting Party, (1964, p. ?) and The Camel, (1981, p. ?), the latter earning critical acclaim at the Cannes Film Festival in 1986. Shaddad's works often addressed social issues, with films like The Rope (1985, p. ?) receiving recognition at the Damascus Festival in 1987.
