Hayech Mayech: False Drama Scores the International Organization of the Francophonie at the Carthage Pro

The Carthage Pro concluded the activities of its workshops Shabaka Development Assistance and Takmil Post-production Workshops, with a closing ceremony in which the platform awards were distributed to support Arab and African filmmakers.


Among the winners Hayech Mayech: False Drama by Hicham Lasri received a € 10,000 cash prize from the International Organization of the Francophonie. It is worth noting that the film won US $30,000 as a minimum guarantee on film distribution from MAD Solutions and Ergo Media Ventures as well as a US $5,000 cash grant from Malmö Arab Film Festival.


In addition, several promising Arab projects won awards from Takmil platform, including Dunga by Muhannad Lamin which received the International Organization of Francophonie award, Dar El Basha Nawfal Saheb-Ettaba won the National Center for Cinema and Image award, Dirty, Difficult, Dangerous by Wissam Cahraf won the French Institute of Tunis, and La couleur du phosphate by Ridha Tlili won two awards by the National Center for Cinema and Image and Malmö Arab Film Festival.
