The Panorama of the European Film is gearing up for its 14th
edition, which is scheduled to take place November 17- 26, 2021, by showcasing some of the latest award-winning feature and documentary
films as well as cinematic landmarks and classics from all over Europe. This
year’s program was recently announced, and it comprises a total of 16 films from GFF’s 5th
edition.
The Main Narrative Features section will screen; Another World by Stéphane Brizé, Compartment No. 6 by
Juho Kuosmanen, and The Worst Person in the World by
Joachim Trier. The three films were part of GFF’s Feature Narrative
Competition. In addition to Paris 13th District by
Jacques Audiard and I’m Your Man by Maria Schrader from the
festival’s Official Selection out of Competition.
The Emerging Directors section will include Clara Sola by Nathalie
Álvarez Mesén and Playground by Laura Wandel from GFF’s
Feature Narrative Competition, as well as Happening by
Audrey Diwan, which screened as part of GFF’s Official Selection
out of Competition.
From GFF’s Feature Documentary Competition; Life of
Ivanna by Renato Borrayo Serranoand recipient of El Gouna Golden
Star for Documentary Film, Silence of the Tides by
Pieter-Rim de Kroon and This Rain Will Never Stop by
Alina Gorlova were selected to screen in the Panorama’s Documentary section.
This year the Panorama of European Film will also dedicate its
retrospective exhibition to screen some of the notable works of director
Krzysztof Kieślowski including the Three
Colors Trilogy, A Short
Film About Killing and The Double Life of Veronique,
which were part of GFF’s Special Presentations section this year.
