The European Film Awards announced the winners of its 34th edition, in an award ceremony that was held on December 13, 2021.

Jasmila Žbanić’s Quo Vadis Aida? received a total of 3 awards; European Film, European Director for Žbanić and European Actress for Jasna Đuričić. The Film was screened during the 4th edition of GFF, where it scored the El Gouna Gold Star for Narrative Film and El Gouna Star for Best Actress for Jasna Đuričić. 

Flee by Jonas Poher Rasmussen received 3 awards for European Documentary, European Animation Feature Film, and European University Film. Unclenching the Fists received the award for European Editing for Mukharam Kabulova. While Natural Light received the European Production Design award for Márton Ágh. All three films were screened during the 5th edition of GFF.
