El Gouna Film Festival Calls for Film Submissions for its 6th Edition

El Gouna, March 19, 2023: El Gouna Film Festival (GFF) is now accepting submissions for its 6th edition that is scheduled to take place from October 13 to 20, 2023, in El Gouna, that is known not only for its beauty and progressiveness but also for its strong support of the arts and creativity.

Recognised as a showcase for the finest cinematic works, El Gouna Film Festival presents a balanced combination of premieres, international competitions, live music shows and star-studded red carpets and is attended, encouraged and supported by film industry, media professionals and film lovers from  around the world.

Selected films will compete for El Gouna star awards and US $234,000 total cash prize through the festival’s Feature Narrative Competition, Feature Documentary Competition, or Short Film Competition. Films with a humanitarian theme will be eligible to compete for the Cinema for Humanity Audience Award, while films that share knowledge and/or raise awareness on issues related to the environment, ecology or wildlife, as well as their sustainability and importance will be considered for El Gouna Green Star Award. In addition, GFF will continue to host the FIPRESCI as well as NETPAC juries.
