Venice International Film Festival concluded its 77^th edition by announcing Listen by Anna Rocha de Sousa as the winner of the Lion of The Future Award for a Debut Film as well as the Special Orizzonti Jury Prize. The film is set to participate in the Feature Narrative Competition of the 4^th edition of GFF.

This is the third time a GFF feature selection wins the Lion of The Future Award, following Amjad Abu Alala’s You Will Die at Twenty in 2019 and The Day I Lost My Shadow by Soudade Kaadan in 2018.

Also among the winners was another GFF feature narrative selection and CineGouna alumni, Kaouther Ben Hania’s The Man Who Sold His Skin, which received the Edipo Re Inclusion Award, while actor Yahya Mahayni received the Orizzonti Award for Best Actor.
