About the Film

At first glance she is just an ordinary woman. But every couple of months her normal life comes to a halt. Without her loved ones knowing, she goes on a long journey. She jumps from one type of transport to another, carefully covering up her tracks, building a web of lies during her phone conversations. What is on her mind and what is the purpose of this journey?

Igor Poplauhin

Igor Poplauhin, filmmaker from Russia, graduated from the Moscow School of New Cinema. His film 22 (2016) was screened at the Goethe-Institute, Montreal, the Moscow Multimedia Art Museum, and the Garage Museum among other forums. Calendar, his latest short, was the joint-winner of the second prize at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival (Cinéfondation); and won the main prize of the shorts competition of Kinotavr.
