About the Film

Cold War is a passionate love story between two people of different backgrounds and temperaments, who are fatally mismatched and yet fatefully condemned to each other. Director

Pawel Pawlikowski

No stranger to existential feelings of exile, Pawel Pawlikowski left Poland for London when he was 14. Having begun his filmmaking career making documentaries, he transitioned to fiction in the late 1990s and found acclaim soon thereafter with the award-winning British features Last Resort (2000) and My Summer of Love (2004). His first Polish film, Ida (2013), won the Best Foreign Language Film.
