About the Film

Cesare is an old and solitary man. One evening, his neighbor asks him to look after her son Kadim for the night. Eager to undertake the responsibility, Cesare takes good care of Kadim; also sharing with him pieces of his own past. As a delicate connection unfolds between the old man and his guest, the film sheds light on different aspects of the human condition.

Sergio Scavio

Sergio Scavio had organized several festivals and film shows in Sardinia, before directing his short film debut The Night of Cesare (2018). He is the founder and director of a film school in his hometown. Currently, he teaches theory and analysis of film at the Accademia di Belle Arti Mario Sironi in Sardinia. He is also a member of the Sardinia Film Commission board of directors.
