Director

Ian Bonhôte, Peter Ettedgui

Peter Ettedgui was born into a family in fashion. His father, Joseph Ettedgui, is the founder of the famous British brand “Joseph,” who gave Alexander McQueen a space to display his work at a very early stage in his career. Peter, however, did not follow in his father’s footsteps, but took film as a profession, writing the scripts of multiple feature films including Vigo: A Passion for Life (1998) and Onegin (1999), as well as documentary films, most famously Listen to Me Marlon (2015) and George Best: All by Himself (2016). McQueen (2018, GFF) is his directorial debut. Ian Bonhôte is an award-winning director and producer, who made a name for himself as a director of music videos and commercials for some of the world’s top brands. In 2013 he made a short film called Alleycats, before he turned it into an eponymous feature film in 2016. McQueen (2018, GFF) is his first documentary film.
