Claire Burger

Claire Burger studied film editing at La Fémis. In 2008 she made Forbach, a short film that won the Cinéfondation award at Cannes. Together with Marie Amachoukeli, she co-directed the short film C’est gratuit pour les filles (2009), which was presented at the Directors’ Fortnight in Cannes, and won the César Award for Best Short Film. Burger’s collaboration with Marie Amachoukeli continued in 2014, when they were also joined by Samuel Theis, writing and directing their first feature film Party Girl. It was selected for the Un Certain Regard at Cannes, where it won the Prix d’Ensemble and the prestigious Caméra d’Or. C’est ça l’amour / Real Love (2018) won the Giornate degli Autori main prize at Venice.
